What happens after you buy web hosting?
Buying web hosting does not instantly create a finished website. It creates the environment where the website can live. The next steps are mostly about connecting your domain, publishing the site and making sure the account can be recovered.
You receive access to the hosting account
The provider creates the hosting service and gives you a way to sign in. Save the service details and verify that the account email belongs to someone who can recover it later.
If a control panel is included, that becomes the main place for routine hosting tasks.
You add or connect the domain
The domain may already be registered or you may register one separately. The hosting account needs to know which domain will use it, and DNS must direct that hostname to the correct service.
Do not replace an existing DNS zone blindly if the domain already handles email or other services.
You publish the website
Depending on your plan, you might install WordPress, upload an existing site, deploy static files, or migrate a site from another provider. Test the production hostname before announcing it.
Make sure HTTPS is working and that forms, logins and database-driven pages behave correctly.
You set up the boring things that prevent emergencies
Confirm backups, create any required email accounts, turn on multi-factor authentication where available, and record who owns the domain and website logins.
A few minutes of operational housekeeping at the beginning can prevent a much larger ownership or recovery problem later.

Usually it includes the hosting environment, not a completed custom website. Some services include installers or site-building tools, but you still need to create, upload or migrate the site content.
