Referral terms

Useful referrals. Clear accounting.

These are the standard DotMoose referral program rules. Your affiliate account shows your referrals, commission and withdrawal history.

Standard commission

The standard rate is 20% recurring commission on qualifying paid DotMoose-operated services, including Managed WordPress Hosting, Shared Hosting, Backup Storage, VPS, Object Storage, and Managed App Hosting. Commission is calculated from the commissionable amount actually paid. When a coupon reduces eligible service revenue, the affiliate still earns the standard percentage on the discounted eligible amount actually paid; the coupon does not erase the referral commission.

Software and licence costs, domains and domain fees, Product Addons, taxes, usage billing, reseller-priced services, charity benefits, and any product explicitly configured as non-commissionable are excluded unless DotMoose publishes different terms. Service-level upgrades that are billed as part of an otherwise qualifying service remain commissionable unless specifically identified as a licence or third-party pass-through cost. Quote-led dedicated/custom services are eligible on their verified service portion; if WHMCS cannot generate native affiliate commission because the bill is a manually created invoice, DotMoose may record the equivalent commission manually only after the normal 30-day validation period and review of the paid service, exclusions, refund/chargeback state and attribution.

Referral tracking

When someone follows a DotMoose affiliate link, the billing system sets a referral cookie configured for 6 months. A new customer order can be attributed to the affiliate while that cookie remains present when the eligible order is placed. Clearing or blocking cookies, switching browsers or devices, or browser privacy controls can prevent the referral from persisting for the full window. The 6-month tracking window is separate from the 30-day commission validation delay that begins after a qualifying sale.

Validation and withdrawals

New qualifying commission is subject to a 30-day validation delay. It becomes available only if the underlying service and referral remain eligible when WHMCS clears the commission. The standard minimum available balance for a withdrawal request is C$25.

A withdrawal request is not proof that funds have been sent. DotMoose may review the referral history, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, account relationships, and compliance before processing a payout.

Referral eligibility

A qualifying referral must represent a genuine new customer relationship attributed through the DotMoose affiliate system. Self-referrals are prohibited. Fake identities, duplicate-account structures, circular purchases, purchase-and-refund patterns, attribution hijacking, hidden redirects, cookie stuffing, hidden frames, browser injection, and other methods intended to create unearned attribution are prohibited.

Promotion and disclosure

Affiliates must describe DotMoose truthfully and keep pricing, discounts, product features, service locations, support commitments, and availability current. Do not fabricate reviews, testimonials, screenshots, customer results, scarcity, discounts, performance claims, or earnings.

When a recommendation can generate commission or another material benefit, disclose that relationship clearly and prominently. Commercial electronic messages must satisfy applicable consent, sender-identification, unsubscribe, and recordkeeping requirements. Purchased, scraped, or harvested contact lists may not be used on DotMoose's behalf.

Affiliate offer emails from DotMoose are optional. Affiliates who opt in may receive current public coupon codes, their referral link, and practical promotion ideas roughly every two weeks while useful offers are active. Every offer email includes an unsubscribe path, and disabling these promotional emails does not disable the affiliate account or change earned commission.

Brand and advertising

Do not impersonate DotMoose, create misleading DotMoose-like identities, register confusingly similar domains, typosquat, or bid on DotMoose trademarks in paid search without written approval. Affiliates may not imply that they are DotMoose staff or an official support channel unless DotMoose has expressly authorized that relationship.

Refunds, cancellations, and reversals

Refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, fraud, invalid attribution, and policy violations can prevent a pending commission from clearing or can reverse commission where supported by the billing system and appropriate to the underlying transaction.

Privacy

An affiliate does not receive a referred customer's private billing, domain, service, payment, or support data merely because a referral occurred. Affiliate accounting stays inside DotMoose billing systems; public analytics do not expose a referred customer's private account data.

Enforcement and changes

DotMoose may investigate suspicious referral activity and may restrict, suspend, or remove an affiliate for abuse or serious policy violations. Disputed commission may remain unavailable while the underlying activity is reviewed.

DotMoose may change future rates, eligible products, thresholds, payout methods, or program rules. Material changes apply prospectively unless a correction is required because of fraud, error, law, or an existing written agreement.
