Short answer

Can you get a free domain with Canadian hosting?

Yes. DotMoose currently has four annual-hosting offers: a first-year .com or .ca registration with Shared Hosting, and a first-year .com or .ca registration with WordPress Hosting. Each offer covers one standard, non-premium registration for one year; renewals are charged at the ordinary domain renewal price.

Annual hosting is required

The free-domain offers do not apply to monthly hosting. Choose an eligible annual Starter, Plus, or Pro service and add the domain in the same order.

Existing customers can use them

You do not need a new DotMoose account. An existing customer can qualify when purchasing a new eligible annual hosting service and domain registration together.

The domain is free for year one only

The registration charge is C$0 for the first year. Domain renewal after year one uses the ordinary renewal price in effect at renewal.

Four offers

Pick the hosting type first, then the domain ending.

Shared Hosting is for ordinary websites and PHP applications. WordPress Hosting adds automatic WordPress setup and WordPress-focused hosting controls. Both use Canadian hosting infrastructure and Canadian-dollar billing.

.ca or .com?

Choose the domain for the audience, not just the discount.

01

.ca for a clearly Canadian identity

A .ca can make a Canadian focus obvious in the address itself. Registration is restricted by CIRA Canadian Presence Requirements, so the registrant must qualify.

02

.com for a broader general-purpose address

A .com is widely recognized and does not carry the same Canadian-presence requirement. It can be a practical choice for sites that expect a mixed Canadian and international audience.

03

Either can use Canadian hosting

The domain extension and the server location are separate decisions. A .com can be hosted in Canada, and a .ca can use services outside Canada. These offers keep the qualifying DotMoose hosting workload in Canada.

Common terms

What all four offers have in common.

Is the domain free forever?

No. One eligible standard .ca or .com registration is C$0 for the first year. The domain renews at DotMoose's ordinary renewal price after year one.

Can I use monthly hosting?

No. These four offers require an eligible new Shared Hosting or WordPress Hosting service billed annually.

Are premium domains included?

No. Premium names, aftermarket purchases, transfers, restoration/redemption charges, extra domains, and unsupported extensions are not included.

Can I stack another promotion?

No. Promotion and program discounts do not stack on the same order.

Does a .ca require Canadian eligibility?

Yes. .CA registrations remain subject to CIRA Canadian Presence Requirements and the applicable registrant agreement.

Compare first

Pick the hosting plan you would keep after the promotion.

The free first-year domain is useful, but the ongoing hosting fit and renewal terms matter more than the first invoice.
