Reseller terms

Separate client services. Clear responsibilities.

Version 2026-09-01-v2. These terms supplement the general DotMoose Terms and Acceptable Use Policy for approved reseller/agency accounts.

Eligibility and approval

The program is for bona fide businesses or professionals that expect to manage hosting for multiple independent customers. Application does not guarantee approval. DotMoose may request reasonable business, identity, intended-use, or authority information before approving or continuing an account.

Launch pricing

Approved reseller accounts receive 20% recurring off eligible DotMoose-operated service prices. This currently includes public Standard Shared Hosting, VPS, Backup Storage, Object Storage, and Managed Application Hosting products. For example, current reseller prices include Shared Starter at C$4.79, VPS 2 at C$15.99, Backup 1 TB at C$23.20, Object Storage 1 TB at C$11.99, and Managed App Starter at C$47.99 per month. Applicable taxes are additional.

Software licences, paid control-panel licences, domains and registry charges, taxes, and other third-party pass-through costs remain at normal price. A custom service quote may apply the 20% benefit to the DotMoose-operated service component while separately itemizing excluded third-party costs.

No stacking

Reseller pricing does not combine with affiliate/referral commission on the same service, charity pricing, promotion codes, or another custom discount. DotMoose may apply the single eligible program treatment that is appropriate to the service and correct an accidental duplicate discount or commission.

Customer relationship and first-line support

The reseller buys DotMoose services under its DotMoose account and is responsible for its own commercial relationship with its end customers, including its own invoices, promises, website/content support, and first-line troubleshooting. DotMoose supports the approved reseller on the underlying DotMoose service and does not become the reseller's end customer's general web agency.

Account separation and credentials

Each hosted client workload is provisioned as a normal separate DotMoose Shared service. Program approval does not grant cross-customer access to other DotMoose client accounts, tickets, billing, domains, or services. Resellers must protect customer and service credentials and must not share privileged DotMoose account credentials with unrelated parties.

Domains and registrants

Domain registration is not part of the launch reseller discount. When a reseller assists with a domain, the registry-required registrant and contact data must identify the proper person or organization; a reseller may not replace the proper registrant merely to retain control. Registry rules, domain terms, renewal notices, transfer authorization, and ownership disputes continue to apply independently of this hosting program.

Billing, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks

The reseller is responsible for DotMoose invoices on its account regardless of whether its own customer has paid it. Normal DotMoose cancellation, refund, dispute, and chargeback rules apply. A refund or credit is based on the actual eligible amount charged; reseller status does not create a separate refund entitlement.

Abuse, security, and emergency action

The reseller must respond promptly to compromised sites, malware, spam, phishing, unlawful content, security incidents, or other abuse involving services it manages. DotMoose may isolate, limit, suspend, or terminate an affected service when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the network, third parties, or legal obligations. Whenever practical, remediation is targeted to the affected service rather than unrelated healthy services.

Suspension or removal from the program

DotMoose may suspend or terminate program status for fraud, abuse, repeated unpaid invoices, deliberate misrepresentation, unsafe credential practices, evasion of product limits, or other material breaches. Ending program status can return affected services to ordinary public pricing; it does not automatically delete an otherwise valid paid service.

Changes

DotMoose may change future program rates, eligible products, or program rules. Material changes apply prospectively unless a correction is required for fraud, billing error, law, registry rules, or a separately signed agreement.

General Terms, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy also apply.
