Eligibility
The program is for Canadian organizations that have current Registered status in the Canada Revenue Agency List of Charities. DotMoose also verifies that the applicant is reasonably authorized to act for the organization. A registration number alone does not prove authority.
Base free hosting entitlement
An approved charity receives one Standard Shared charity hosting service with 10 GB total account storage, no plan-level traffic quota, no numeric hosted-mailbox limit, SSL, PHP, WordPress-capable hosting, databases, DNS, and ordinary DotMoose support. The hosting setup and recurring price are C$0 while eligibility remains current.
"Unlimited" means no numeric plan-level cap for that item; it does not mean infinite storage, compute, network, message throughput, or abusive use. Total account storage, process/resource safety, outbound mail protections, security controls, law, and the Acceptable Use Policy continue to apply.
Additional free services
Additional free services are not self-service. DotMoose may manually approve another free account for a distinct legitimate project or operational need. Each additional entitlement is recorded in the program audit history.
Paid Charity Plus and Pro
Approved charities receive 20% recurring off eligible Standard Shared Plus and Pro base hosting prices. At current monthly retail pricing that is C$7.99 for Plus and C$14.39 for Pro. Applicable taxes remain payable. The charity discount does not combine with reseller pricing, affiliate commission on the same service, promotion codes, or another custom discount.
Included domain on qualifying paid hosting
Each eligible paid Charity Plus or Pro service may include one standard, non-premium one-year .ca or .com registration or transfer and recurring renewal while both the charity program and linked hosting service remain eligible. The C$0 base hosting plan does not include a domain. Premium names, additional domains, other TLDs, redemption/restoration fees, aftermarket costs, and registry special charges are excluded.
The domain remains owned/registered by the proper charity or other proper registrant under registry rules. DotMoose does not acquire ownership because a domain fee is included. If the linked benefit ends, the domain is not seized or deleted; future renewal pricing returns to the ordinary applicable rate unless another valid benefit applies.
Annual reverification and grace
DotMoose rechecks CRA Registered status and applicant/organization authority at least annually. When a review becomes due, existing benefits receive a 30-day grace period. New discounted/free claims can be paused during review. If reverification is not completed before grace expires, free charity services may be suspended and paid-plan/domain pricing may revert to ordinary rates. Reverification restores eligible program treatment prospectively and can unsuspend a free service where no other suspension reason exists.
Duplicate organizations and related entities
One organization may not create multiple DotMoose client identities to multiply the default free entitlement. Related organizations with genuinely separate CRA registrations and operations may be reviewed separately. DotMoose may request additional evidence where names, contacts, addresses, control, or registration details indicate a duplicate or related-entity claim.
Resource pressure and abuse
Legitimate growth is handled with non-punitive remediation where practical: identify inefficient plugins/scripts, caching or storage issues, discuss an additional approved service for a distinct project, or move a workload to a larger eligible plan. Malware, phishing, spam, compromised credentials, deliberate resource abuse, unlawful activity, or risks to other customers can require immediate isolation or suspension under the Acceptable Use Policy.
Privacy
Application records contain the information needed to evaluate eligibility and authority, such as the client account, organization name, CRA registration number, role, website, intended use, verification evidence, decision history, and annual review dates. DotMoose does not require donor lists or unrelated beneficiary information to approve ordinary program eligibility. The general Privacy Policy governs handling and retention.
Changes and termination
DotMoose may change future eligibility, plan capacity, or benefits to keep the program sustainable, but does not silently convert the free base service into a paid subscription merely because program terms change. Fraud, false authority claims, revoked/ineligible charity status, serious abuse, or material policy breaches can end program benefits. Domain ownership and transfer rights remain governed independently by registry and domain rules.
