Program terms
Canadian Fire Department Hosting Program Terms
Version 2026-09-05-v1. These terms supplement the DotMoose Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.
Eligibility
The program is for legitimate Canadian fire departments, fire services or fire brigades, including municipal, rural, Indigenous, composite and volunteer departments. CRA registered-charity status is not required. DotMoose must be able to independently verify the department through reasonable public or institutional evidence and separately verify that the applicant is authorized to act for it.
Free service
An approved department receives one C$0 Standard Shared community-hosting service with 10 GB total account storage, no numeric hosted-mailbox count limit within that storage quota, no plan-level traffic quota subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, SSL, PHP, WordPress support, databases, DNS and normal support. There is no setup charge or recurring hosting charge while eligibility remains current.
Additional free services
DotMoose may manually approve additional C$0 services for distinct legitimate department projects or operational needs. Additional services are not automatic and cannot be obtained through alternate accounts or identities.
Verification and annual review
Approval requires independent evidence of the department and separate applicant-authority verification. Eligibility is reviewed at least annually. A missed annual review receives a 30-day grace period. If reverification is not completed, free services may be suspended rather than silently converted into paid subscriptions. Data handling then follows normal DotMoose suspension, retention and termination policies.
Not included automatically
The free plan does not automatically include a domain, dedicated IPv4 address, paid third-party licence, VPS, dedicated server, custom development, design work or resources beyond the approved plan. Those items may be purchased separately at ordinary pricing unless DotMoose explicitly approves another arrangement.
No resale or stacking
The entitlement is for the approved department's own legitimate use. It may not be resold, transferred to another organization, converted to account credit or stacked with an affiliate, reseller or coupon benefit on the free service.
Abuse and safety
Normal security, anti-spam, resource, legal and Acceptable Use Policy controls remain in force. DotMoose may suspend or terminate an entitlement for fraud, misrepresentation, abuse, loss of eligibility or material policy violations.
Changes
DotMoose may revise these program terms prospectively. Material changes will use a new version and may require acceptance at reverification.
