Decision points

Promotion, limits and panel all matter.

01

Promotional term versus monthly price

Astral's Essential headline price is a first-term discount tied to a 12-month-or-longer commitment and the same page publishes its regular price. DotMoose currently offers Starter on a prepaid 36-month launch term, while the regular month-to-month plan remains available. Compare the term you intend to keep rather than only the lowest displayed number.

02

Storage and application limits

Astral Essential publishes substantially more disk capacity, while both entry plans are for one website and publish five email addresses. Check database count, storage use, inode/process limits and the actual application workload before deciding.

03

Virtualmin or cPanel

DotMoose Standard Shared uses Virtualmin GPL. Astral publishes cPanel. A control panel preference can be material if your existing migration workflow or support habits depend on one panel.

04

Migration scope

Astral publishes a complimentary website-migration offer with eligibility and email-migration limitations. DotMoose also scopes migration work before promising a cutover. In either direction, confirm website, database, mailbox, DNS and registrar responsibilities first.

05

Canadian location

Both providers publish Canadian hosting. Astral specifically identifies greater-Montreal Tier III facilities; DotMoose publishes its own Canadian launch-platform details separately. Location is one factor alongside price, support, limits and recovery design.
