Decision points

Compare location, term and product scope.

01

Both introductory prices use 36 months

DotMoose's current Starter launch is C$2.94/month effective with C$105.84 due up front before tax for 36 months. Bluehost Starter's observed CA$2.99/month rate also requires a 36-month term. That makes the first-term comparison unusually direct; the renewal rate and included resources still matter.

02

Renewal, website count and storage

Bluehost currently publishes a CA$8.49/month 36-month renewal for Starter, while DotMoose's normal three-year Starter total is currently C$172.51 (about C$4.79/month effective) and the launch renews at the then-current ordinary three-year rate. Bluehost Starter publishes up to 10 websites and 10 GB NVMe storage; DotMoose Starter publishes one website and 10 GB.

03

Canadian billing is not the same as Canadian hosting

Bluehost's Canadian storefront prices the plan in CA$, but its observed page describes global data centres rather than promising a Canadian shared-hosting location. DotMoose Shared Hosting is positioned as Canadian hosting. Verify the location of the actual workload if residency is material.

04

WordPress features overlap with general hosting

Bluehost Starter includes managed WordPress updates and WordPress tooling in its general hosting plan. DotMoose has a separate Managed WordPress product starting at C$7.99/month with pre-installation, core security updates and daily infrastructure backups. Compare responsibilities and ongoing pricing before using the WordPress label as the deciding factor.
