DOTMOOSE

Starter Shared Hosting

C$2.94/month effective for the first 36-month term. C$105.84 is due up front before tax with MOOSE294. The introductory price applies to the first term only; renewal uses the then-current three-year Starter rate. Today’s normal three-year total is C$172.51.

The regular month-to-month Starter plan remains C$5.99/month. 1 website · 10 GB storage · 5 email accounts · 2 databases · free SSL.

Eligible launch orders can include one standard, non-premium .com or .ca registration at C$0 for year one while the domain bonus is active. Checkout confirms current availability; normal domain renewal pricing applies after year one.

DotMoose publishes prices and invoices in CAD, hosts the shared workload in Canada, and uses Virtualmin GPL for standard Shared Hosting.

Decision points

Which differences matter to your site?

01

One larger site or several small sites

DotMoose Starter publishes more storage but one website. CanSpace Starter publishes less storage but supports up to five domains. Count the websites you actually intend to keep in the account and the disk each one uses.

02

Virtualmin or cPanel

DotMoose Standard Shared uses Virtualmin GPL. CanSpace publishes cPanel. If a familiar panel matters, compare the tools you actually use: files, databases, mailboxes, cron, DNS, backups and application installers.

03

Backups

CanSpace lists nightly backups as optional on Starter and included on larger plans. DotMoose sells independent Backup Storage separately; do not assume either provider's hosting plan is a complete disaster-recovery strategy without checking the current retention and restore process.

04

Renewal policy

CanSpace publicly advertises a price-lock policy. DotMoose does not promise a general lifetime price lock; longer DotMoose terms renew at the price then in effect for the selected term. Compare the policy you are actually comfortable committing to.

05

Migration

Before switching either direction, inventory website files, databases, mailboxes, DNS, domains, cron jobs, redirects, certificates and any external services. Test the destination before cancelling the source account.
