Decision points

Compare the regular plan, not only the promotion.

01

Regular price versus first-month promotion

DotMoose currently offers Starter on a prepaid 36-month launch term, while the regular month-to-month plan remains available. Funio's shared-hosting page shows both a regular Economic price and a 50%-off first-month offer. Compare the amount that applies after the promotion as well as the acquisition price.

02

Storage, bandwidth and account counts

Funio Economic publishes 20 GB storage, 250 GB bandwidth, 100 email accounts and 10 databases. DotMoose Starter publishes 10 GB storage, five email accounts and two databases. Match the plan to the constraints your site and mail actually use.

03

Virtualmin or cPanel

DotMoose Standard Shared uses Virtualmin GPL. Funio publishes cPanel. If a move depends on a cPanel account backup or a familiar control-panel workflow, include that in the migration decision rather than comparing only price.

04

Canadian infrastructure evidence

Funio's current application-specific hosting pages describe three Montreal data centres, while its corporate office is in Quebec. DotMoose publishes Canadian shared hosting separately. Verify the location of the exact product you intend to buy when residency is a requirement.

05

Migration

Before switching either direction, inventory website files, databases, mailboxes, DNS, domains, cron jobs, redirects, SSL and any software-specific settings. Keep the source available until the destination is tested.
