DOTMOOSE

Starter Shared Hosting

C$2.94/month effective for the first 36-month term. C$105.84 is due up front before tax with MOOSE294. The introductory price applies to the first term only; renewal uses the then-current three-year Starter rate. Today’s normal three-year total is C$172.51.

The regular month-to-month Starter plan remains C$5.99/month. 1 website · 10 GB storage · 5 email accounts · 2 databases · free SSL.

Eligible launch orders can include one standard, non-premium .com or .ca registration at C$0 for year one while the domain bonus is active. Checkout confirms current availability; normal domain renewal pricing applies after year one.

DotMoose publishes prices and invoices in CAD, hosts the shared workload in Canada, and uses Virtualmin GPL for standard Shared Hosting.

PLANETHOSTER

The World / Web Project Standard

PlanetHoster's current public pages show Web Project Standard at €7.99/month and also advertise a €5.49/month launch offer tied to an eligible 24-month configuration. DotMoose does not silently convert those euro amounts to CAD.

10 GB premium NVMe/SSD storage · 50 GB external N0C S3-compatible storage · unlimited professional email · unlimited databases · free SSL.

PlanetHoster uses its N0C control panel and says projects can be deployed in a region selected from Europe or Canada, including Montreal. Its current pages also publish included migration and a free eligible domain for the first year.

Decision points

Compare more than the storage number.

01

CAD billing or euro billing

DotMoose publishes and invoices its hosting in Canadian dollars. The PlanetHoster pages observed for this comparison display euro pricing. Exchange rates and card-provider conversion costs can matter to a Canadian buyer, so this page leaves each provider in its native published currency.

02

Project model and storage

DotMoose Starter is a conventional one-site shared account with 10 GB storage. PlanetHoster describes each Web Project as an isolated environment and publishes both 10 GB premium web storage and separate included N0C object storage on Standard. Decide whether those storage types match what your application actually needs.

03

Virtualmin or N0C

DotMoose Standard Shared uses Virtualmin GPL. PlanetHoster uses its own N0C panel. If you are moving an existing site, confirm how files, databases, mailboxes, cron jobs, DNS and backups map into the destination panel.

04

Choose the Canadian region deliberately

PlanetHoster operates infrastructure in Europe and Canada and says the deployment region is selectable. If Canadian hosting is a requirement, verify Canada is selected for the specific project. DotMoose's shared product is positioned as Canadian hosting by default.

05

Migration and bundled services

PlanetHoster publishes included migration and an eligible first-year domain. DotMoose keeps domains and hosting separately priced except where a specific promotion applies. Compare the ongoing services you will retain after the initial term, not only acquisition bundles.
