Free monitoring

Monitor one domain from your DotMoose account.

Get recurring checks for public website, certificate, DNS and mail state after proving control of the domain or hostname with a DNS TXT record.

Monitoring starts only when you turn it on.

Create the monitor inside your DotMoose client account, publish the generated _dotmoose-monitor TXT value, and verify ownership. One-off tool lookups are never converted into recurring monitoring.

Web

HTTPS availability + TLS expiry

Track public HTTPS reachability, response state, certificate validity and meaningful expiry thresholds.

DNS

A, AAAA and NS changes

Changes are compared to the previous successful monitoring snapshot rather than emailed repeatedly when nothing changed.

Mail

MX, SPF and DMARC changes

Monitor the public mail-routing and authentication records that commonly change during provider migrations.

Expiry

Domain expiry where RDAP is reliable

Registration expiry is reported when the registry/RDAP path exposes dependable expiry data. Hostnames/subdomains may not have independent registration data.

RBL

Optional reputation changes

Blacklist/reputation monitoring is opt-in and uses the same reviewed provider set, scope labels, cache and third-party query budget as the public checker.

Privacy

30-day event retention

Recent change events are retained for 30 days with a 100-event cap per monitor. Removing the monitor deletes its retained event history.
