A migration is easiest when access, backups, DNS, mail and rollback are known before anything changes. Use this checklist to find blockers early.

I know who owns the domain and can access/recover the registrar account. I know where authoritative DNS is hosted and can change it if needed. I have copied/exported the existing DNS records. I can obtain the complete website/application files. I can export/restore the database where the site uses one. I have a known-good backup independent of the migration destination. I have inventoried mailboxes and MX/SPF/DKIM/DMARC or know email is not hosted with this domain. I know the runtime/application requirements (PHP/version, cron, extensions, rewrite rules, etc.). I have reviewed DNS TTL/cutover timing instead of assuming changes are instant. I know how to roll back if the new site fails after cutover.
