Move from WP Engine to DotMoose

WP Engine migrations need the WordPress database and wp-content. Platform-specific cache files may need to be removed after export.

What to collect first

  • A fresh downloadable backup checkpoint
  • The database and wp-content
  • Any LargeFS assets and external service details

Simple preparation steps

  1. Open the WP Engine environment and create a fresh backup checkpoint.
  2. Download the completed backup ZIP.
  3. Start Easy Migration and keep the old environment live through validation.
